Wild card entries for ICC Champions Trophy
India might travel with a big squad to give them more options and this might give a couple of these 5 cricketers a chance to be in the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy
Yuzvendra Chahal
It is a season of wrist spinners in the IPL and Chahal is another product of the biggest T20 league in the world. Yuzvendra Chahal is a smart bowler and rose to fame after his consistent performances for his franchise RCB. The 26-year old has been Kohli’s go to man for the last couple of years. His wicket-taking ability is what attracts the Indian captain the most and the ability to give the ball air even in crunch situations is his biggest strength. Chahal has already played 3 ODI’s for India in which he has picked 6 wickets against a lowly Zimbabwe side.
He created history by taking a 6-wicket haul against England in a T20 in February this year as he became the first Indian to take 5 or more wickets in T20 internationals. Chahal is having another decent season in the IPL and might be the third spinner in the squad along with Ashwin and Jadeja.
