The 23-year-old Rishabh Pant has already made a huge name for himself in his brief career with India. He marked his ODI and Test debut in the year 2018 while his T20I debut came a year before. Due to his class and competency, he has reserved his place across all formats of the game.

His recent and valiant exploits in Australia that led India to clinch the Border Gavaskar Trophy made the world stand and applaud him. He did go through a rough patch in between where he struggled with weight issues but his comeback came in ever stronger.

Talking about his captaincy skills, his IPL franchise gave him the responsibilities in 2021 as Shreyas Iyer was out of the league. He did his job pretty well and showed responsibility while making decisions. Under his guidance, DC was among the top four teams till the time league got suspended. He is a great contender to take charge of India in near future.
