The story of the Indian Premier League enters into another decade. After a thrilling season in 2020, the teams are gearing up for the mini-auction which is scheduled just before the grandest T20 league starts. Talking about the past season, the fans witnessed IPL being played with no live audience. There was a virtual fan experience instead of a VIP fan box. Quite weird, right?

The previous edition of the IPL was dominated by the Mumbai Indians. Because of their dominance, most of the analysts hailed the team as the strongest T20 team ever. As we speak about surprises, Chennai Super Kings’ failure to make it to the playoffs left everyone pulling their hairs out! Dhoni’s men in yellow failed to make it to the top four as the elderly group failed to perform consistently.

Now, as we approach another edition of the Indian Premier League, the teams have released their respective set of players. One of the biggest names on this list is Aaron Finch. The Australian limited-overs captain was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. But, inconsistency meant that he had to warm the benches during the latter half of the season. Finally, the management has decided to let Finch go!

Here are the 3 teams that can pick Aaron Finch in IPL 2021 auction:

The Kolkata Knight Riders had a horrible IPL season. With Morgan being included in their playing eleven, Karthik gave up the captaincy mid-way. There was a lot of uncertainty in their batting order as Morgan and Russell faced a few balls. Therefore, it is now time to upgrade their arsenal.

Kolkata Knight Riders have been known for their firepower. The top-order batsmen do not allow the opposition bowlers to settle as they dominate the powerplay. This provides the perfect momentum for the middle order batsmen. Now, as Sunil Narine’s inconsistency has hampered the team, they should look for a proper opener.

The solution to this problem is Aaron Finch. The Australian captain is well known for his attacking style of batting and he looks to dominate the bowlers from the word “go”. His tally of 2005 runs in 87 matches represents his ability to score runs when in form. Therefore, for the Knight Riders, Finch’s strike rate of 127.1 up the order might be useful to complement Gill’s fluent stroke play.
