5 futuristic records that may not be broken ever
These numbers may take decades to come even close to getting broken.
David Warner’s tally of most T20 runs
David Warner is currently fifth on the list of all-time leading-run scorers in T20 cricket. The Australian batter is approximately 4,000 runs away from Chris Gayle’s tally in excess of 13,000 runs. The left-handed Warner is only 33 and is amongst the fittest cricketers going around.
The southpaw has an average of around 37.51 and has notched the 9,000 plus runs in the format at a strike-rate of 142.34. In 2015, 2017 and 2019, Warner became the Orange Cap holders, scoring 562, 641 and 692 runs. The southpaw has eight T20 tons, second only to Gayle’s 22.
The New South Wales-born also has 73 half-centuries, manifesting his consistency. There’s a great chance of Warner playing at least for the next five to six years and if he continues his run-churning spree, then he may well end with around 14,000 runs.
