Yuzvendra Chahal played only nine T20Is in 2019 where he picked up eight wickets. After the World Cup, the Haryana tweaker got his first chance in the Bangladesh T20Is. Chahal has been one of India’s key performers in the T20I spin-department with 52 wickets to his credit.

The Men in Blue haven’t had a spinner, barring Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, who can make inroads into a lineup in the hour of need. It goes without saying that he is being looked upon as a vital cog for the T20 World Cup in Australia. However, getting in and out of the team can dent his confidence to some extent.

Chahal recently played for Haryana in the SMAT Trophy and looked in pretty good rhythm. He may get to bowl against world-class batters in Bangladesh and that can help him get good game-time in the middle.
