Aaron Finch feels both Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are difficult to face in their own ways

They have remained two of India’s biggest spinners in the longest format. While Ravichandran Ashwin has found himself in and out of the Test team of late, Ravindra Jadeja has always been as hungry a competitor who never lets go chance that comes his way. The duo has formed India’s spin attack for quite some time now despite the fast rise of young bowlers in Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. And Australia’s limited-overs captain Aaron Finch also has a high opinion about them. Finch recently conducted a question-hour session with the fans on Twitter where one of the fans asked him which of the two Indian spinners does he find challenging to tackle? To that, the opening right-handed batsman explained the top features of both the players. According to him, both the bowlers throw “difficult challenges”. He was the highest wicket-taker in the series with 15 scalps and also completed 350 Test wickets as the joint-fastest with Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan. Jadeja has played in Tests consistently over the last one year Jadeja, who has played Test cricket consistently over the past one year, is two short of appearing in his 50th game and has 211 scalps in all. He got no wicket in the just-concluded two-Test series against Bangladesh but the ‘fault’ for that lied more with the pacers who took almost every wicket in the series. Aaron Finch, who led Australia to some good series wins in limited-overs this year and also took his team to the semi-final of the World Cup in England, is known less for his Test credentials. He has played a total of five matches in red-ball cricket, the last of which was against India in Melbourne on Boxing Day last year.
