3. Sanju Samson
The skipper Sanju Samson did a spectacular job for the Royals in the last season. As a skipper, he helped the team to top the points table in the round-robin stage. With his leadership skills, he also took the team to the final of the league after a long gap of 14 years. The franchise after a long time dominated star-studded teams such as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which could be considered his achievement as a skipper.
As a batter too, his performance was impressive as the 28-year-old amassed 458 runs in 17 matches, at a fabulous strike rate of 146.79, with a couple of half-centuries. Considering his brilliant performance in the league, the selectors also chose him to play for India in the Zimbabwe tour and home T20I series against South Africa.
In both competitions, the wicket-keeper batter looked good and won games for his national side. Witnessing his consistency, his franchise will want him to strengthen the team in the 2023 edition with his batting and leadership skills.
