ENG vs IND 2025: What will India’s pace attack look like for 5th Test vs England without Jasprit Bumrah?
Jasprit Bumrah was always expected to feature in only three of the five Tests against England.
2. Arshdeep Singh
Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh is set to make his Test debut in the Oval Test. The 26-year-old was expected to feature in the fourth Test in Manchester but had to miss out due to an impact injury to his left thumb, which he piecked while bowling in the nets at a training session.
Arshdeep was impressive during India’s optional training session on Tuesday. With Bumrah being rested to manage his workload, and Anshul Kamboj likely to be replaced after a decent debut, Arshdeep is set to join Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep in India’s pace attack. According to reports, Arshdeep had been in the management’s plans for the final leg of the series.
