4. Siddharth Kaul

Siddharth Kaul became a prominent figure in the IPL circuit since he put on a stellar showing with the ball for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2017 and 2018 seasons of the tournament. In those two editions, the Punjab pacer took a total of 37 wickets in 27 games at an economy of 8.3. However, he was not able to recreate the same magic in the following seasons.

RCB drafted Kaul at the IPL Auction 2022 to bolster their fast-bowling lineup. But the Bangalore management benched him for the major part of the season. He only played in RCB’s final group stage game where he conceded 43 runs in his full quota of overs.

Further, the youngster Akash Deep was given a consistent run with the ball, and Mohammed Siraj’s inclusion is a no-brainer. The way RCB management handled Kaul gives a clear indication that they do not look at him in their plans going forward and can be released in the forthcoming trading window.
