2. Vaibhav Suryavanshi becomes youngest debutant, youngest centurion in IPL history

Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to be listed at the IPL auction at the age of 13. He was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore. He made his debut against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 at the age of 14 years and 23 days. The Bihar batter surpassed Prayas Ray Barman, who made his IPL debut at the age of 16 years and 257 days for RCB.

Suryavanshi scored his maiden IPL century at the age of 14 years and 32 days. He became the youngest centurion in IPL history. Before him, Manish Pandey held the record for the youngest century at the age of 19 years and 235 days during IPL 2009. The Samastipur-born also won the award for highest strike-rate for the season, making it a truly memorable debut for the youngster.
