India Women have been in action in the T20I format throughout the year, playing series away in England, Australia and South Africa, along with their participation in the T20 World Cup in June and the Asia Cup in Dubai. The team were unable to secure a semi-final berth out of a group consisting of Australia and South Africa in the T20 World Cup, but put on a respectable showing with bat and ball.

India's team across formats has been bolstered by a dominant bowling attack, which can pick up wickets in key moments and offer different varieties and qualities in bowling. Results may not have gone in their favour, but the bowlers were able to come off with wickets.
