Bangladesh are set to face Pakistan in the second T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday, July 22, with a chance to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The Bangladesh players are wearing black armbands as a form of tribute in memory of the victims of the catastrophic aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka's Uttara area on Monday.

At least 20 people were killed, and 171 were left injured when a China-made F-7 training jet of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into the school building during class hours. The injured were rescued by emergency teams and taken to six nearby hospitals.

Apart from the on-field homage, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that the national flag will fly at half-mast at the SNBC and all BCB venues. A minute's silence will be observed ahead of the match, and no music will be played during the encounter.

Bangladesh won the first T20I in Dhaka on Sunday, July 20, by seven wickets. They bowled out Pakistan for 110 in 19.3 overs as Taskin Ahmed bagged a three-for, while Mustafizur Rahman bagged two wickets. Bangladesh opener Parvez Hossain Emon remained unbeaten in the run-chase, scoring a 39-ball 56, with the help of three fours and five sixes. The Bangla Tigers romped home in 15.3 overs with seven wickets to spare.

Salman Agha won the toss and decided to field first in the second T20I. They made only one change to their side as right-arm pacer Ahmed Daniyal was handed his maiden international cap. He replaced Abrar Ahmed. On the other hand, Bangladesh brought in Mohammad Naim and Shoriful Islam in place of Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Taskin Ahmed.

Faheem Ashraf has given the tourists a fantastic start as he sent Naim packing for three runs off seven deliveries in the second over. The onus will be on Emon to replicate his heroics from the first game.
