Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers kept things tight as they restricted KKR to 137/9 from their 20 overs. Sunil Narine began well and scored 27 from 20 balls as Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 24 runs from 18 balls. 

Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande picked 3 wickets each, while Mustafizur Rahman picked a couple of wickets for CSK. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer for the visitors, scoring 34 runs from 32 balls with 3 fours.

Chennai Super Kings: 50 runs in 5.5 overs

Rachin Ravindra was batting well before falling to Vaibhav Arora to give KKR their first wicket. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad though played few classical shots to delight the fans.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers saw dew come into effect as the pacers sprayed the ball all over the pacer. Mitchell Starc seemed to be struggling to gain control with the new ball.

It seemed like Chennai Super Kings were batting on a different wicket as they were making runs with ease. Daryl Mitchell and Ruturaj Gaikwad had no problems as they easily milked KKR bowlers for runs.

After not being able to put up a good score on the board in the previous, there was some good news for the Yellow Army. Captain Gaikwad came back to form with his first half-century of this season.

Visiting bowlers seemed to have given up, as the pair of Dube and Gaikwad scored runs with ease. At the second Strategic Timeout, the home team just needed 23 runs from 30 balls.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad hit the winning runs as he smashed the ball to the fence for a four. The hosts ended their two-game losing streak as they easily beat KKR by 7 wickets.
