Video of the Day: T20 World Cup 2026 - Sompal Kami's sensational reflex catch leaves Brandon McMullen stunned
In the 16th over of Scotland's innings, the Nepal pacer produced a sensational one-handed catch to send back McMullen.
The Wankhede Stadium erupted into absolute chaos in the 16th over of Scotland’s innings as Sompal Kami pulled off a sensational caught-and-bowled to dismiss Brandon McMullen in the Nepal vs Scotland clash.
It was the fourth ball of the over, a clever slower and fuller delivery on middle. McMullen, looking to keep the momentum going, pushed at it a touch too early and chipped it back over the bowler’s head. For a split second, it seemed on course to go past the bowler
But Sompal Kami had other ideas, as he reacted instinctively in his follow-through and stuck out his right hand to pluck a one-handed reflex catch. The roar that followed the stunner made it even more special.
McMullen stood frozen in disbelief, as he had to walk back after a brisk 25 off 19, including a boundary and a six. Meanwhile, Nepal’s players surrounded their bowler in celebration. It was a momentum-shifting moment. On a surface where runs were coming quickly, Nepal needed something special and Kami delivered just that.
