England pacer Josh Tongue delivered a brilliant delivery to dismiss KL Rahul during the 30th over of India’s second innings on Day 4 of the second Test at Edgbaston. India resumed the day with Karun Nair and Rahul at the crease, aiming to build on their strong lead.

Tongue began his bowling with rhythm and pace, and struck on the very first ball of his over as he delivered a full-length delivery that angled into the stumps. Rahul failed to get fully forward as he  went for a drive, but the ball seamed away just enough to beat the outside edge and rattle the middle stump. The extra pace and late movement made it a near-unplayable delivery.

However, the rest of the batting line-up faltered, with six batters falling for ducks. India’s bowling was spearheaded by Mohammed Siraj, who grabbed six wickets, while Akash Deep took four wickets, cleaning up the rest.
