Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh has taken a huge dig on Pakistan ahead of their upcoming Asia Cup 2025 clash against India. The arch-rivals, who are both placed in Group A, will take on each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, September 14.

Yograj complimented the Indian Premier League for being the source of development for Indian cricket. He then went onto speak about the dire state of Pakistan cricket and shed light on the lack of funds to generate talent for the future.

"Our cricket has flourished. It has become very huge and unique. Coming to Pakistan, what can poor do? They cannot compete against India. Since the IPL, has come our players have become big. Where there is money things will flourish. Pakistan does not have any trainer or coach. I want to ask the former Pakistan players - what have they done for their team? You became coaches and managers but what did you do?," stated Yograj in an interaction with Sports Now.

Yograj also noted how former Pakistani legends have not adequately given back to the sport, comparing it to the manner in which they have played the game.

"I do not understand them. I am surprised at what they do and what they talk. They are such big players I don't understand what they say. Wasim Akram tells a story that he bowled a bouncer and started abusing, he told Imran Khan to come save him and then Imran says, 'come here I will kill you'. What is all this? You have taken everything from cricket but you should also know to give back," he added.

Yuvraj's father highlighted how luminaries of Indian cricket are different from the former Pakistan cricketers. He pointed out the reason behind India's superior bench strength in comparison to that of Pakistan.

"Yuvraj is working, Dravid is working, Sachin is working, Viru is working. All of them have played such great cricket and are giving it back to the country. In Pakistan, all the players are doing commentary and making money. It is nonsense when they say this is their country and their land. We are working for our country. I am working. I will bring five more players tomorrow, Yuvi will, Dravid will. That is why we have such a good bench strength," remarked Yograj.

The 67-year-old concluded by making an emphatic statement in terms of the level of both the teams and how India have been miles ahead of Pakistan.

"There is no match of the Pakistan team compared to the Indian team and there cannot be a match as well. The level at which they are playing cricket is on the soil and where we are playing at the sky. Have the sky and soil ever met? It cannot happen," he reflected.
