The duo of Parthiv Patel and Aakash Chopra is hugely popular among Hindi commentary audiences in India. Chopra was part of the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) right from the start but former India opener Parthiv joined him in the commentary box for the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on March 20 at Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

Now, after his arrival, Chopra shared a few glimpses of their time in the commentary box and also revealed that Parthiv had brought some food along with him. Meanwhile, in the videos shared by Aakash, it is seen that the duo are calling out Jemimah Rodigues’ brilliant catch in the match and speaking on Mumbai’s second defeat in the league.

Delhi defeated Mumbai to move to the top of the points table

Courtesy of their phenomenal nine-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in their previous match, Delhi Capitals moved to the top of the table and are close to qualifying for the finals of the competition. In order to do so, the Meg Lanning-led side will have to win their next match against UP Warriorz by a comfortable margin and will have to hope that MI doesn’t register a massive victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Coming to the match, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side posted only 109 runs after 20 overs. Their batting unit failed to step up once again and that’s a massive reason to worry about ahead of the playoffs. Notably, skipper Kaur (23) along with Pooja Vastrakar (26) and Issy Wong (23) tried to stabilize the situation but no one was successful in doing so.

Meanwhile, Delhi absolutely stole the show with the bat. Youngster Shafali Verma gave the franchise a flying start, scoring 33 off 15 deliveries while her opening partner, Meg Lanning played a mature innings of 32* runs off 22 deliveries. On the other hand, 18-year-old Alice Capsey mostly dealt in sixes, hitting five in total as Delhi chased the total down in just nine overs.
