Rohit Sharma returns to England to play white-ball cricket when India take on the Three Lions in a three-match One Day International (ODI) series commencing on Tuesday, July 14. The former captain last competed in limited-overs cricket on these shores back in 2022.
It is safe to assume that England is a happy hunting ground for Rohit in ODI cricket. Of his 33 centuries in 50-over cricket, seven have come on English soil, which includes five during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He is thus the highest-scoring non-English player in ODIs in the country, ahead of the likes of Virat Kohli, Ricky Ponting and Sir Viv Richards.

Rohit has had a plethora of standout innings in England, but none eclipse his 140 against Pakistan during the 2019 World Cup in Manchester. His highest score in the country, the opening batter hit 14 fours and three sixes to strike at 123.89, helping his side secure an 89-run victory in a rain-affected encounter.
Rohit's maiden ODI hundred in England was also special. He hit an unbeaten 123 against Bangladesh at Edgbaston during the 2017 Champions Trophy semi-final to earn the Player of the Match award. India, however, lost to Pakistan in the final at the Oval.
In yet another brilliant run chase, Rohit contributed 137 not out against England at Trent Bridge in 2018, aiding India secure an eight-wicket victory. Riding on Kuldeep Yadav's six-wicket haul from the first innings, the right-handed opener struck at 120.17, chasing down 269 with almost 10 overs to spare.
