There is no point going for a part-time wicketkeeper to give a cushion to the batting line-up when you have a proper gloveman in Quinton de Kock. In 25 Tests, the promising Proteas batter has scored more than 1550 runs at a solid average of 44.40.

He was once a baseball player and he can surely send the bowlers for the leather hunt if required. Coming at No.7, the left-handed batsman can go for the kill from the very beginning, and his clinical work behind the stumps adds to his value.
