5. Yet another century for Virat Kohli

If you are wondering what century Kohli has scored in this series where he failed to score a fifty, this is about his captaincy not batting. The 2nd T20I in Cardiff was Kohli’s 100th International game as captain. Under Kohli’s captaincy, India featured in 101 matches till date winning 70 of them and lost on 21 matches. Nine Tests under his term ended in a draw while one ODI was washed out without a result.

Kohli has a win-loss record of 3.33 and a win percentage of 69.31 as captain in International cricket. Among the 39 players who captained in 100 Internationals, Kohli’s win-loss record is joint best with Clive Lloyd while his win % is the best among the lot. India lost only 20.79 % of Internationals under Kohli’s captaincy which is the 2nd lowest for any captain with 100 International caps behind Lloyd (18.99).
