Colombo Strikers (CS) and Galle Titans (GT) are set to clash in the 10th match of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) T20 at Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele on August 7. Colombo Strikers are struggling, having won only one match and sitting at the bottom of the points table. On the other hand, Galle Titans have performed well, winning two matches and currently holding the top spot on the points table.

In their last game against Dambulla Aura, Colombo Strikers suffered a close 10-run defeat. In that game, the standout performer for CS was Nuwanidu Fernando, who scored an impressive 56 runs off 39 balls. He was well-supported by Babar Azam, who scored 41 runs off 24 balls. In the bowling department, Matheesha Pathirana impressed with three wickets to put up a fight, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to secure a victory.

On the other hand, Galle Titans played their last game against Jaffna Kings and suffered a disappointing 8-wicket defeat. Dasun Shanaka played a responsible innings of 30 runs off 24 balls, trying to anchor the innings, but it wasn't enough to secure a competitive total. In the bowling department, Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets, but the opposition batters easily chased down the target.
