United Arab Emirates Women will lock horns with Namibia Women in the 1st match of the Namibia Women's tour of UAE at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on September 26. UAE Women had played off against Thailand Women in their last match, where they won the toss and elected to bat. UAE did not start well as they lost a wicket early and could not score runs. Only two of their batters got double-digit scores, and the whole team could only muster 70 runs after losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Thailand decided to put on a further worse show with the bat as they got bowled out for just 64 runs. United Arab Emirates Women won the match by six runs.

Namibia Women had played off against Uganda Women in their last encounter, where Uganda won the toss and elected to bat. Uganda did not have a good start and were very slow in finding boundaries. However, they found some good contributions from the middle-order batters and propelled their team's total to 93. Namibia lost a wicket early but were going ahead slowly but steadily. Yasmeen Khan stood her ground from one end but still could not take her team home as they fell short of the target by three runs.
