Five IPL cricketers who are doing unusual jobs
The IPL gave different openings in lives to some of these cricketers, which led to them finding some unexpected jobs.
3. Paul Valthaty – Air India
This name certainly rings a lot of bells. Paul Valthaty was once the most highly-rated young cricketer in the country. His exploits came to the fore in the IPL with the Kings XI Punjab in 2011 where he smashed an outstanding hundred against the Chennai Super Kings. He followed it up with another brilliant knock against the Deccan Chargers.
But after that, there was never a moment when the man lived up to the expectations which were created with his early blitz. He continued to be a part of the Kings XI Punjab side for the next two years and after 2013, he never was picked up by any team in the IPL.
Valthaty joined Air India and has been representing his employer on the cricket field. He also played in the T20 Mumbai League in 2018, where he was picked up on the Developmental Players quota. He didn’t appear again in the 2019 edition of the tournament.
