In the feed below, are the hourly Manchester weather forecasts and updates also the Duckworth Lewis Stern par scores and targets once the game starts.

The much anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the 2019 World Cup might as well be spoiled by the Weather on Sunday. The last ten days have been extremely tough for the competition with as many as four matches getting called off and the Indo-Pak face-off could be another addition to that list. The weather forecast for Manchester suggests the possibility of showers all afternoon and also later in the evening. This could be enough for Pakistan to gain their first points in a CWC game against India.

The spotlight will be on Virat Kohli who has an impeccable batting average of 85.4 across the seven Indian victories in the ODI format against Pakistan. The Indian skipper scored 427 runs with two centuries including his highest ODI score of 183 in those seven outings. However, in the five ODI defeats against the arch-rivals, the No.1 ODI batsman has aggregated only 32 runs at an average of 6.4 with four single-digit scores.

Pakistan will once again target India’s main man whose early dismissal would mean 50% of the game is in their hands. Kohli has show his domination over the neighbouring nation in the ICC events. Across nine innings in the World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy, he aggregates 409 runs with the help of a hundred and three fifties. His average reads 102.25 and rises to 194 if only his scores in Indian wins are considered.

Virat Kohli, till date, is the only Indian to score a century in ICC events against Pakistan. The fact might stay alive given the bleak chances of a full game on Sunday. The scheduled start of the game is 10:30 AM local time but light to heavy showers are predicted as per the Manchester weather report between 11 AM and 3 PM. In this case, a game with a maximum of 35 overs-a-side would be possible.

However, the forecast for the evening isn’t promising either. Light showers are expected from 5 PM until 8 PM which is past the cut off time to complete the match. But there is a significant change in the weather forecast every passing day. The fans on either side of the border would be hoping that the weather gods show some mercy at least for this game.
