'I’ll kiss you, if you keep it' - James Neesham tells Ben Cutting as his wife says bye to his beard

The Coronavirus pandemic has led to much of the world shutting down and people are keeping to themselves and staying indoors in order to stay safe. The COVID-19 virus, which is reported to originate in the Wuhan Province of China, with the epicenter being the meat trade market where exotic animals are butchered for consumption.

Many news outlets reported that patients were affected by this virus after eating bat soup in the province. Since then, more than 170,000 people have been tested positive for this deadly disease with close to 6,500 people already dead. The World Health Organization (WHO) has already asked the citizens of all the countries to stay indoors and that there should be no mass gatherings of any kind as well.

It was also reported that this virus can be contracted by men who keep bushy and thick beards or mustaches. This has led to many males shaving off their beards and has possibly brought an end to the cricket fraternity’s beard trend. Since the last few years, cricketers around the world are seen in thick beards as a style statement, but with this pandemic causing havoc, beards are going to be history.

Erin Holland wants husband Ben Cutting to shave off the beard; Jimmy Neesham says no

Following this trend, cricketer Ben Cutting’s better half Erin Holland shared a photo on her Instagram account with the caption saying “Bye bye beard” with her hands on Cutting’s bushy face. However, it seems, another cricketer wanted Cutting to keep his thick fuzz on his face. This cricketer was New Zealand’s Jimmy Neesham who went to huge lengths and commented that he will kiss Cutting if he keeps the beard.

The coronavirus has already curtailed the ongoing Pakistan Super League 5 of which Ben Cutting is a part of. He is playing for the Quetta Gladiators franchise which has been knocked out of the competition, as Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans have qualified for the semi-finals, which will be played on March 17 in Lahore. The finals of the PSL 2020 will also be played in Lahore on March 18.
