Captain Kohli is going through a purple patch in his career scoring runs at will against every opposition irrespective of conditions. He got off to a very good start in the opening match at Kanpur before giving his wicket away to Moeen Ali while attempting a slog sweep.

The modern day master struck a brilliant century in the 1st ODI at Pune which helped India chase down a mammoth total set by England after tottering at 63/4 at one stage. The way he leads by example also shrugs off the confidence in other players. He is always ready to put that extra yard to enhance his fitness. More than his batting he will be worried of the team combination ahead of the must-win encounter
