If there was one agenda that was on Preity Zinta’s list today, it was to buy each and every player possible. The KXIP owner seemed to be seeing every player at a discounted price as she went on lifting the tag for any player that passed by. Zinta was definitely a shows stealer on Day 1 of the two-day IPL Auction. It was Zinta who added the glamour quotient in an otherwise dull IPL Auction, with the broadcasters making sure to put the spotlight on the KXIP owner.

Compared to the first ten seasons, Zinta was pretty sure with her new tactics of bidding for players at the beginning of the auctions which will bag her some household names. Not only did it help the KXIP acquire the services of the 32-year-old offie Ravichandran Ashwin from the hands of the Chennai Super Kings, but also they managed to get the in-form Karun Nair in the auctions.

Sehwag and Ness Wadia accompanied Zinta

The actress was accompanied by KXIP’s mentor and former Indian opener Virender Sehwag and co-owner of KXIP Ness Wadia. Kings XI Punjab made some big buys on Day 1 of the auction, but the biggest was using RTM to retain Yuvraj Singh for a mere Rs 2 Cr.

Social media had a field day, as Preity Zinta continued to raise her hand in order to acquire the services of players in the IPL Auctions. Virender Sehwag, earlier in the day also tweeted out on the shopping spree of the actress by saying “Ladkiyon ko shopping ka shock hota hai. Preity full on shopping ke mood mein hain. Har cheez khareedni hai”. Further, the former Indian opener took to Instagram too to prove that the actress indeed was on a shopping spree.

On the micro-blogging platform, fans felt the actress was on a shopping spree, like looking to buy everything that is on offer:
