Although not playing the eleventh season of the IPL, David Warner seems to be excited as much as all the other Sun Risers Hyderabad players. Warner stepped down as captain of the SRH  following the ball-tampering incident. After accepting the ball tampering charges, Warner along with his Aussies’ skipper, Smith have been banned for a year by the Cricket Australia and BCCI also decided to keep the two away from IPL.

David Warner may not have won numerous admirers with his current activity on the cricket field, however, the suspended Australian cricketer still stays all around cherished at his IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH fans have expressed their love for Warner as far back as the cricketer was handed over a ban for his association in the ball-tampering outrage.

Warner wishes SRH:

The aggressive left-handed batsman’s gesture has won millions of fans and also left the SRH fans emotional. David Warner took to Instagram to wish his franchise, SRH luck ahead of their encounter against Rajasthan Royals. “Good luck to my friends at Sunrisers Hyderabad, I know you guys will do great,” his post said.

Warner also surprised all the SRH fans by commenting on a live on team’s Instagram account. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was having an interaction with the fans before the tournament kicks-off and Warner wrote a hello for the pacer. “Hello Bhuvi,” came the comment from David Warner. He also promised to visit India during the IPL.

Warner – the backbone of SRH:

Warner has been the backbone of Sunrisers in the last couple of years. He played a crucial role in the top order, opening the innings along with Shikhar Dhawan. Warner’s extraordinary battings always helped as the team’s middle order failed to live up to the expectations in the last few years. The bowling line-up and Warner’s monstrous hitting were the only reasons for Sunrisers’ results. The Aussie opener has always been the key player since maiden title in 2016.

Owing to his consistent performance at the top, Warner was retained in the IPL 2018 auction. The franchise decided to let go of star Indian opener, Dhawan but did not want to lose their skipper. However, the team used RTM and bought back Warner’s opening partner, Dhawan. In the absence of Warner, Williamson will lead the SRH. The Sunrisers will play their first game on Monday against Rajasthan Royals.
