The Chennai Super Kings are cruising through to defend their IPL title as they have won five of the six matches thus far. However, their real challenge will be playing away from Chennai as they won all their four games at home this season. They will face now face the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur who have struggled to convert their performances into wins. They have played five matches in this season winning only one that too against the RCB team who have lost all the six they played.

All the key stats and numbers ahead of Rajasthan’s home fixture against Chennai:

3 – Rajasthan Royals have defeated the Chennai Super Kings in their previous three meetings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Twenty20s. Overall, CSK has won only two of the six T20s they played at this venue.


9Imran Tahir has claimed nine wickets from the four matches he played against the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Tahir averages 13.33 and has an S/R 10.6 with the ball against RR with help of a 4-wicket haul.


20.91 – Ajinkya Rahane has a low batting average of 20.91 in the IPL against the Chennai Super Kings. He scored 251 runs from 13 innings with two fifties thus far. Rahane bagged a duck against CSK during the game at Chepauk earlier this season.


21 – Shreyas Gopal has picked up 21 wickets in the Twenty20 format in 2019; the most T20 wickets for an Indian bowler in this year thus far. Gopal got those 21 wickets from 13 matches at an average of 10.61. He has picked up a 5-wicket haul and also a 4-fer in T20s this year.


40.22MS Dhoni has a batting average of 40.22 in the IPL against the Rajasthan Royals. Dhoni scored 362 runs from 18 matches against RR with a best of 75* in the previous game which is his only 50+ score against them.


98 – Ravindra Jadeja needs two more wickets to complete 100 wickets in the IPL. He will then become the first left-arm spinner and overall the 13th bowler with 100 IPL wickets.


605 – Suresh Raina’s 605 runs in the IPL against the Rajasthan Royals are the most by any player against them. Raina scored those 605 runs in 20 innings at an average of 30.25 with four fifties.
