The highest total that the Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to defend in the IPL is 206 back in the 2014 season against the Kings XI Punjab. But five years since this game, the Kings XI have not managed to seal even one game at the RGIC Stadium in Hyderabad. The KXIP lost all the five matches they played against SRH in the last five seasons at this venue only to lose in all those. Their losing streak extends to six in Hyderabad considering a big defeat against CSK during the 2014 CLT20.

Here are the lesser known stats created during Warner’s last appearance for the SRH in this IPL:

Warner’s excellence continues:

David Warner ended his 2019 IPL campaign with his 9th fifty-plus score in 12 innings. He is now the first player to record as many as nine fifty-plus scores in two different IPL editions. Warner also had nine such innings during the 2016 season. During the same edition, Virat Kohli struck a total of 11 fifty—plus scores including four tons. Kohli and Warner are the other players with 9+ fifty-plus scores in an IPL season.

Warner demolishes KXIP yet again:

David Warner now has as many as ten fifties in the IPL against the Kings XI Punjab while no other player has scored more than eight fifty-plus scores against an opponent in the IPL. In fact, Warner scored a fifty in each of his previous eight innings in the IPL against Kings XI. No player other than Warner has scored more than four half-centuries in succession but Warner has got such feat against three teams. He scored fifties in each of his last five innings against CSK and also had seven in a row against RCB during 2014-2016.

A tough game for Mujeeb:

Mujeeb ur Rahman conceded as many as 66 runs in his four overs during this game. He thus became the first spinner to concede 60+ runs in an IPL game and those 66 being the joint 2nd most runs conceded by any bowler in an IPL game. These are also the 2nd most runs conceded by a spin bowler in a Twenty20 match. Leg-spinner Anthony Martin conceded a record 70 runs during the 2012 Caribbean T20 game for the Leeward Islands against the Trinidad & Tobago.

Rashid gets to 50:

Rashid Khan became the 2nd player after Bhuvneshwar Kumar (104) to bag 50+ wickets in the IPL for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The wicket of Mayank Agarwal was Rashid’s 50th wicket in the IPL. Since his debut during the 2017 season, Jasprit Bumrah (50) is the only other player to have claimed 50 or more wickets in the IPL.
