Rashid Khan has been at his best in the ongoing IPL 2019 for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has taken 10 wickets in 10 matches so far for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and was the reason behind their initial success at the start of the tournament. He is also an ardent fan of Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar and when Tendulkar celebrated his 46th birthday on April 24 this year, Rashid Khan wished the little master on Twitter with a heartfelt post.

Rashid posted “Happy birthday to a special human being @sachin_rt Sir I want to wish you a very happy birthday and may you continue to inspire us all! Looking forward to meeting you soon!”

Sachin Tendulkar replies to Rashid, looks forward to his World Cup appearance

The Afghanistan star spinner and Sachin Tendulkar have formed a sort of bond given their mutual admiration for each other’s skills. The respect that Rashid has for the senior legend like Tendulkar is impressive.

Tendulkar has previously stated that he finds Rashid to be the best spinner in the T20 format and also lauded him for his batting skills as well. Rashid is not that kind of player who caves under pressure and looks forward to tough situations.

Rashid was also recently made the captain of the Afghanistan T20 team and will feature in his second World Cup coming May in England and Wales. He had led his team to World Cup qualifiers victory in 2018. Sachin Tendulkar took notice of Rashid Khan’s birthday wish and replied to the youngster that he was keeping tabs on his IPL performance and looked forward to see him perform in the World Cup.

Tendulkar posted, “Thanks for the wishes. I have been following your performances during the IPL and looking forward to seeing you at the World Cup.”
