IPL 2020: Team-wise one overseas player who can be back-up captain
Some prolific names in there.
2. Mumbai Indians – Kieron Pollard
Pollard represents West Indies in international cricket and is the current captain of limited-overs formats (ODI and T20I). He has a great experience in T20s as he is the only player to play 500 T20 matches and this makes him the best option in the overseas players’ category as captain for MI.
Pollard has been with MI for almost 11 seasons. He is one of the match-winning players that Mumbai Indians have always backed. In 2019, leading Mumbai Indians as its stand-in captain, Pollard played a defining inning to pull off a heist against KXIP and guided the team towards an astonishing victory.
Kieron Pollard has recently led Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL 2020. Under his leadership, the team finished as the table toppers with 10 wins out of 10 matches. He guided his side to their 4th CPL title in 2020.
