The Indian Premier League 2021 is all set to unfold from April 9 across different venues in India. The 2020 edition was entirely hosted in UAE owing to the COVID-19 situation in India. However, the current season is back in the homeland amid all the strict COVID-19 guidelines and will take place inside the usual bio-secure bubble. Leading numerous days in bio-bubble becomes difficult for a player to handle and often takes a toll on his mental health.

A lot of players do not travel with family, and all this while without their near and dear ones is hard to manage. Keeping the same in the light, Mumbai Indians came with a special gesture for their players while maintaining their hotel rooms. The hotel rooms of players were done with beautiful photo frames of their family members. A glimpse of the same was shared by Piyush Chawla on his Instagram story.

Piyush Chawla who has been roped by Mumbai Indians this year to strengthen their spin attack came with a sweet IG story and thanked his new franchise. In his story, the spinner can be seen looking at the photographs of his family members while a slight smile and he captioned the picture as, “beautiful gesture, thank you @mumbaiindians.”

Talking about Chawla, he didn’t have a very good season with CSK this year and therefore, was released by the yellow franchise. However, he became a pick of the most successful franchise so far, as Mumbai Indians think him to strengthen their spin section. Talking about MI, the team already lifted its 5th IPL trophy last year and will be eying to defend its title this time again.

In IPL history, only CSK and MI have defended their trophies so far. The cash-rich tournament is all set to kick off from April 9 where defending champions Mumbai will lock horns with Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore. The team which is yet to clinch an IPL glory would be trying its best to turn the table in its favour.
