The 29-year-old Daniel Sams had a very ordinary outing for Mumbai Indians in the last two matches. He has been erratic with his line and length and has looked in rhythm. With regards to bowling at the death, he was taken to the cleaners by Rajasthan Royals batters.

Against the Royals, Sams gave away 32 runs at an economy of 8 runs per over and also went wicketless. In the next game against Kolkata Knight Riders, the Aussie gave runs at an economy of 16.67. In three overs, he conceded 50 runs and in the 16th over he leaked 35 runs, allowing KKR to win with 24 balls to spare. So far in IPL 2022, Sams has failed to make his mark.
