This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the match 42 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The hosts are almost knocked out of the tournament and they will have to win their remaining 4 matches in order to stay alive somehow. But it won’t be easy for them as the visitors are the Orange army which has defended low totals comfortably this season.

While Shreyas Iyer will have to keep his men in a happy space and make them believe that they can upset the table toppers, it should be rather a cakewalk for SRH as far as the recent performances are considered. Though no team would like to take Delhi lightly as they have proved before what they are capable of and if they team up to put a strong show, no one can stop them. It could be a humdinger of a contest on a small ground at Kotla but the scales are in favour of the Sunrisers no doubt. Here we bring to you the CrickingDuels Fantasy guide for the game:

Delhi Daredevils (DD) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Batsmen

I simply cannot ignore Prithvi Shaw with the way he is batting right now. His impeccable technique has left many cricket experts in awe and there are already comparisons with Sachin Tendulkar. Shreyas Iyer is undoubtedly the next Delhi batsman in my team as the youngsters are scoring heavily for them. Kane Williamson walks into my line-up as I have taken the risk with Alex Hales as he could go bonkers against the Delhi bowlers. He has got hold of the conditions now and might play that big innings against Delhi.

You can also go for Manish Pandey and Shikhar Dhawan, but both have been miserably out of form this year. Even the pitch of Delhi doesn’t give them much hope of regaining their touch.

All-Rounders

Glenn Maxwell too is due for a special knock and with the team sending him to open the innings he might be in the mood for his team. But I am being safe and have made him the vice-captain of my team. Shakib Al Hasan is my other all-rounder who has been the silent hero for SRH making up for the failure of the top order with the bat and then picking key wickets without conceding many runs during his 4-over spell.

Vijay Shankar is also a decent option in this department as he is found his mojo of hitting big sixes in the death overs. But he rarely bowls which makes me go against him.

Wicketkeeper

Here’s another easy choice in this department for me. Saha is of no use in Fantasy as he is playing mostly like a specialist wicketkeeper in the side currently. Rishabh Pant is a special talent and he could certainly hurt the chances of the visitors with his blitzkrieg. He has already played some blinders and could well be the potential match-winner for his team on Thursday.

Bowlers

I am going back to my template of picking two bowlers from each side. Rashid Khan and Amit Mishra are the two spinners in the team who will be more than a handful on a helpful surface at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium. Both are high on confidence after their recent performances and will surely pick wickets in the middle overs. Now I am going with a couple of completely different bowlers in Trent Boult and Siddarth Kaul. While the former relies on pace and swing with the new ball, the other is a death overs specialist and can scalp wickets at the death at will.
