Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif, who recently had to face the heat for posting pictures of him doing Surya Namaskar on Twitter, hasn’t held himself back and decided to give it back to the mockers. A couple of days ago, the picture of a cricketer doing exercise under the morning sun got him a negative response from a bunch of people who felt that doing and promoting surya namaskar is against Kaif’s religion – Islam.

“Surya Namaskar is a complete workout for the physical system, a comprehensive exercise form without any need for equipment,” said Kaif in his tweet.

These twitter users were quick to point out that Kaif’s adopted form of exercise was against the religion he practices, clearly making the fact clear that even exercises have religion and should be followed by the people of that particular reason only.

But, the right-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh, who recently supported Mohammad Shami and his wife openly, saying that it should up to the couple to make their personal choices, didn’t take things lying down.

He didn’t hold himself back and gave an immediate reply to all the nonsensical people on his profile. “In all four pics, I had Allah in my heart. Can’t understand what doing any exercise, Surya Namaskar or gym, has to do with religion. It benefits all,”

For the ones who don’t still understand what he was trying to convey, he had another way of explaining as well.

Definition of Surya Namaskar according to scripts – “Surya Namaskara or Sun Salutation, is a Yoga warm-up routine based on a sequence of gracefully linked asanas. The nomenclature refers to the symbolism of Sun as the soul and the source of all life.”

Definition of Surya Namaskar according to the narrow-minded- Surya Namaskara or Sun Salutation disrespects Islam!

Well, Kaif and other sensible people carry a good knowledge about their religion and ensure that better sense prevails over spreading unnecessary opinions.
