In a live Instagram session with Chennai Super Kings’ official page, Raina recalled a story of his wife. During the conversation, he also compared MS Dhoni with Lionel Messi.

During the interaction, the left-handed batsman shared a story related to his wife, Priyanka. He revealed that whenever she comes to watch a match, she always asks why MS Dhoni keeps the helmet behind him while keeping. He also said that his wife would often question him why do players change sides after every over.

Suresh Raina feels Dhoni can still return back to the Indian side

“Every time she comes to the game she keeps asking me why ‘Mahi Bhai keeps the helmet behind him while keeping and why we can’t play cricket on one side and need to change sides. It’s cute,” said Raina.

Later on, during the conversation, the 33-year-old revealed that his wife is more into football than cricket. He also said she is a big fan of Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi. However, Raina said for him and other players for Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni is equivalent to Messi.

“Actually she is more into soccer and a big fan of Messi and for us Mahi Bhai is Messi,” Raina added.

A few days ago, when the Uttar Pradesh batsman was asked if he feels that his CSK captain can make a comeback in international cricket, he said that he believes there’s a lot of cricket left in him.

“He still has a lot of cricket left in him. It would be best if he answers this question with his bat,” Raina said. During that interaction, he also shared the Dhoni has been batting really well in the nets. He talked about the CSK training camp which he attended before the lockdown was announced.

“I was joined by [Ambati] Rayudu, [Murali] Vijay and all in the fitness camp. Then Mahi Bhai joined us,” Raina in an Instagram Live session with SportsTak. “If you ask me I think he was striking the ball pretty well and the bat flow seemed quite good. He never looked better,” Raina said.
