Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been out of touch with media since the time he decided to take a break from international cricket. After the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019 semi-final loss, the gloveman didn’t come back to play a single match for the national side.

Having sidelined himself for the longest part of 2019, this year was supposed to mark a comeback for the charismatic finisher. However, that hasn’t really happened. During a recent Instagram live session with TV presenter Yashika Gupta, Dhoni’s teammate, Yuzvendra Chahal talked about the former captain. Yuzi, who shares a great bond with the former captain, revealed that he wants to meet him once the lockdown is over.

The TV presenter asked the spinner where would he want to go if he was invisible. Chahal revealed that he would want to go to Ranchi to visit MS Dhoni. During the interaction, Chahal said, “Right now, I will go to Ranchi to see Mahi Bhai.”

I will keep my Instagram open 24 hours: Yuzvendra Chahal

After this, Yashika said that the CSK skipper has become invisible from the public eye in recent times. She also said that MSD has never done an Instagram live ever and it is only Chahal who can make him do one. Responding to this, Chahal said that he would visit the former Indian captain as soon as the flights reopen. He further jokingly said that he will keep his Instagram open for 24 hours and then he will see how MS Dhoni escapes the situation.

“I will have to go when the flights reopen. I will keep my Instagram open 24 hours then I will see how does he run away,” Yuzvendra Chahal said during the interaction.

Dhoni is someone who doesn’t keep himself posted on social media. Recently, it was via his wife, Sakshi Singh’s Instagram posts, that his fans got to know that he is spending his quarantine time in his farmhouse in Ranchi. The wicketkeeper-batsman was supposed to make a comeback to professional sports during the IPL 2020 but the tournament has been now suspended indefinitely.

It was hoped that IPL will lay a foundation for him to make a comeback for the Indian side, but it seems unlikely now.
