Match Details:

The 4th match of the 5-match Youth ODI series between New Zealand Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s will be played at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln.

The match starts at 10:00 AM local time (3:30 AM IST) (10:00 PM GMT – Prev Day).

Preview:

Bangladesh Under-19s completed a series win as they cruised to their third straight win on the tour of New Zealand. There are two games still to be played in this 5-match Youth ODI series and it won’t be any easy for the home side. Bangladesh is too strong at this level and has an experienced squad. Most of the players have already featured in the U19 World Cup hosted by New Zealand last year.

New Zealand Under-19s haven’t performed badly but Bangladesh’s domination made it look like that. Fergus Lellman scored an unbeaten 116 with seven fours and five maximums to take New Zealand’s total to 228 which was chased down in only 36.5 overs for the loss of two wickets. Mahmudul Hasan Joy’s 95-ball 103* was backed by fifties from Tanzid Hasan and Towhid Hridoy in the chase.

Weather Condition/Report:

Wednesday will be a cloudy day at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval. However, the chances of rain are quite lower. We might not actually see any major interruption in the due course of the match.

Pitch Condition/Report:

New Zealand U19s have been struggling to post big totals at the Bert Sutcliffe Oval. The venue can produce totals as high as 300 if Bangladesh bat first. The chasing at this venue is easy but the hosts might struggle due to Bangladesh’s supremacy.

Average first innings score: 251 (Last 8 Youth ODI matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 7, Lost – 1
