Pakistan took a 2-0 lead in the 5-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after a 32-run win the 2nd ODI at Abu Dhabi where the lower order came to rescue for both the teams. Pakistan was reduced to 101/6 after electing to bat but Babar Azam, with yet another hundred, took his side to a total of 220/9 with help of Shadab Khan, who scored an unbeaten 52. In their chase, Sri Lanka lost seven wickets for just 95 runs but Captain Upul Tharanga carried the bat with an unbeaten 112 as they were bowled 187 in 48 overs.

Here we look at all the stats and records created during the game.

1 – Upul Tharanga became the first captain to carry the bat in an ODI game. He is also the first Sri Lankan and overall the 11th player to carry the bat in ODI cricket.

2 – This is the 2nd time Babar Azam has scored centuries in consecutive ODI innings. He struck three in a row against Windies last year. Saeed Anwar (4) and Mohammad Yousuf (2) are the only other Pakistan players to score consecutive tons in ODIs more than once.

5 – Number of consecutive centuries in ODI cricket for Babar Azam in UAE. He became the first player to score centuries in five consecutive ODI innings. AB de Villiers scored four in a row in India between 2010 and 2011.

5 – Number of consecutive ODIs in which Hasan Ali has taken three wickets before this game. Umar Gul is the only player to take 3-wicket hauls in six consecutive ODIs. Hasan Ali picked only one wicket in this game.

9 – This is Sri Lanka’s 9th consecutive loss in ODI cricket. This is their 2nd longest losing streak in this format. They lost 14 ODIs in a row between 1987 and 1988.

19y 12d – At the age of 19 years and 12 days, Shadab Khan became the 5th youngest to score a fifty and take three wickets in the same ODI game. He is the 2nd youngest to do this double in ODIs after Shahid Afridi (16y 323d).

33 – Number of innings Babar Azam needed for scoring his 7th ODI century. He is the quickest to score seven centuries in ODI cricket. Hashim Amla scored his 7th ODI century in 41st innings.

130 – Balls Babar Azam needed for scoring his century in this game. This is the slowest ODI hundred for a Pakistan player since Ahmed Shehzad’s 143-ball century in April 2011 against Windies.

135 – Upul Tharanga’s 135-ball century is the lowest by a Sri Lankan since his 138-ball century against Windies in February 2011.

1659 – Babar Azam’s 1659 runs in his ODI career so far are the most for any player after 33 ODI matches. Hashim Amla scored 1650 runs in his first 33 ODI games.
