Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, registered the first win of their IPL 2020 campaign after they registered a convincing 49-run victory against Kolkata Knight Riders. After being put to bat first, ‘Hitman’ Rohit emerged as MI’s talisman as he slammed a brilliant 80, playing a vital role in steering his side to a dominant total of 195.

One of the flaws in KKR’s bowling was the woeful performance of their premier pacer Pat Cummins. The Australian quick, who was snapped for a staggering INR 15.5 crores in IPL 2020 auction, struggled with his line and length. He was bowling short consistently and was smoked for boundaries by Rohit and other MI batsmen.

It was a disappointing outing for Cummins as he finished the game with figures of 49 from just three overs. Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha also took it to Twitter to criticize Cummins’ line and length against Rohit.

“Can someone ask #PatCummins if he has not seen @ImRo45 bat before or their analyst has not shown him the strength of the #hitman. If you bowl to him there, he will keep hitting you out of the park all day.#ProGyaan #IPL2020 #KKRvsMI,” wrote Ojha.

However, after Ojha’s tweet, a troll decided to take a dig at the spinner for ‘chucking’. “Did anyone tell you that you bowled ‘bhatta’ all your life,” wrote a troll on Ojha’s tweet about Cummins.

I guess you live in fool’s paradise: Pragyan Ojha

‘Bhatta’ is the word for chucking or illegal bowling, and the fan was referring to Ojha’s ban in 2014. The slow left-arm spinner was banned in 2014 due to his bowling action. But he soon returned to the game after tweaking his action and even played in IPL and domestic cricket.

Unimpressed with the troll’s comment, Ojha gave a befitting reply to him. “I guess you live in fool’s paradise it was all over the news and I was asked to remodel my action. I rectified my mistake played for Bengal, Mumbai Indians and India A. What made you think if you talk about my past, I will be disturbed … Get matured… boy,” responded Ojha.

Ojha’s ban in 2014 certainly served as a roadblock in his career but he nevertheless had an impressive record with India with the red ball. In 24 Tests, Ojha scalped 113 wickets for India including 7 five-wicket hauls. Ojha also scalped 89 IPL wickets while playing 92 matches in the cash-rich league.
