Ben Stokes reaches out to British airlines after his luggage goes missing, airlines respond
Stokes took to Twitter and tagged the airlines and informed them about his predicament while seeking help.
England captain Ben Stokes inspired his team to come back strongly from a 0-2 deficit in the high-voltage Ashes to eventually draw the series 2-2. He couldn't contribute much with the ball owing to injury but had a great campaign with the bat, scoring 405 runs in nine innings at an average of 45. This includes a breathtaking century in the fourth innings at Lord's in the second Test.
The star all-rounder recently suffered harassment as his luggage went missing after boarding a British Airways flight. Stokes took to Twitter and tagged the airlines and informed them about his predicament while seeking help. British Airways was quick to respond to Stokes as they apologised for the mishap and asked the 32-year-old cricketer to share further details of the issue so that they can help in resolving it.
"Bags not turned up off the plane @British_Airways and help would be greatly appreciated," Stokes wrote on Twitter.
British Airways replied: "Hi Ben, I'm sorry to hear this has happened. Can you send us your details in a DM so we can look into this for you? Anthony."
Ben Stokes hopes to address knee injury during off time
Ben Stokes retired from ODI cricket in July 2022. He played a huge role for England in their ODI World Cup-winning campaign in 2019. With England scheduled to play a lot of ODI cricket in the next few months, Stokes wants to use the time to treat his persistent knee injury.
Stokes will be in action for England during their tour to India in early 2024. The two top teams in world cricket are scheduled to play five Test matches and it promises to be an intriguing contest. Cricket enthusiasts have already started predicting how England's ultra-aggressive 'Bazball' ploy would fare in the spin-friendly conditions prevalent in India. England have hosted two World Test Championship finals but are yet to be a part of one. They will be hoping to make it to the summit clash at the end of the 2023-2025 cycle which has just begun.
