Harbhajan Singh's hilarious reactions grab attention as Babar Azam rates BBL better than IPL

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) around the corner in a few weeks, Babar Azam has made a big statement. His recent interview has grabbed the eyeballs, and people have reacted differently on social media to the Pakistan skipper's comments.

Azam is currently playing for the Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In a recent conversation, he was asked to choose between the IPL and Big Bash League. His reply surprised many cricket fans, as he chose the BBL over the IPL. Babar stated that the pitches in India are similar because of the Asian conditions, while in Australia, the wickets are quick.

"The conditions over there in Australia are different. The pitches over there are really fast and you get to learn a lot. Whereas in IPL, you get the same Asian conditions," Babar was quoted as saying by NDTVSports.

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh reacted with a laughing emoji on Twitter after seeing Babar's reply.

There's always room for improvement: Babar Azam 

Azam also talked about his team's recent win against Islamabad United in the ongoing PSL 2023. He praised his fast bowlers for their execution and said that there is still a lot of improvement needed.

"The way the fast bowlers executed and came back, it was outstanding. The ball started to reverse after 10 overs. We couldn't finish well with the bat, we were 20 runs short. There's always room for improvement. We need to bowl well in the first six overs," Babar said.

Babar's Peshawar Zalmi will take on Shaheen Afridi's Lahore Qalandars in the second eliminator today in Lahore. It will be a must-win game for both teams to reach the finals. Meanwhile, the Multan Sultans have already qualified for the final, which is slated to be played on March 18.
