IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – GT vs LSG, Match 64
Mitchell Marsh departed after smashing a brilliant 117 runs from 64 balls.
Sherfane Rutherford ended Mitchell Marsh’s phenomenal innings with a brilliant running catch in the Match 64 of the IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Marsh had been in explosive form, and looked to add more runs to his 117-run tally when he attempted to loft a length delivery over the covers. The ball was pitched around the sixth stump and went high but he could not get the distance.
Rutherford, who was stationed at backward point, ran in and executed a perfect dive forward to complete a stunning catch. The moment brought to an end Marsh’s excellent 64-ball innings, which included 10 fours and eight sixes.

His spectacular effort meant that LSG posted a massive 235 in their 20 overs, with a quick-fire knock also from Nicholas Pooran, who smashed 56 off just 27. The duo’s aggressive batting culminated in a partnership of 121 runs from 52 balls.
A win in this match would take the Titans to 20 points which will allow them to stay at the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
