With the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just days away, the fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore have been sent into a frenzy after star England pacer Jofra Archer was recently spotted in the RCB cafe in Bangalore. Is Jofra Archer looking for a late entry into the tournament? The same question echoed through every fan’s mind after he was recently captured bowling for Sussex.

Furthermore, Archer recently took to his Instagram story and posted a picture of himself in Bangalore in the RCB cafe, which led to the fans raising the question. Archer was released by the Mumbai Indians just before the mini-auction in December, and the star pacer travelled to Karnataka with Sussex as part of a pre-season preparatory camp before the start of the county championship.

It is worth noting that Archer recently represented KSCA XI and was seen bowling in a two-day warm-up game in Alur. The clip raised questions over his participation in the IPL, and further sparks were ignited when he posted the story in the RCB cafe.

Royal Challengers Bangalore aim to break IPL jinx

Speaking of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the side will be gearing up to participate in the IPL 2024. The 17th edition of the marquee tournament is all set to kick off on March 22, with Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener. 

The side had a season to forget in 2023 as they failed to make it to the knockout stages of the competition. Bangalore finished in sixth place in the standings and missed out on the playoffs on net run rate. However, with a new season approaching, Bangalore will be keen on putting in improved performances and getting their hands on their very first IPL title. The franchise has been quite unlucky in terms of title glory and will hope that 2024 will be their year.
