MS Dhoni has been the center of debate in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. It started as he stepped down from the captaincy position at Chennai Super Kings. The talk soon shifted to his exploits in IPL 2024 at death. Now the hot topic is his limping while travelling with the team. For the unversed, Dhoni is nursing his left knee after he was done with the surgery the 2023 season.

His old friend and teammate, Suresh Raina had provided insight into what is running in the mind of the legend. While on air, Raina revealed that the former CSK captain complimented Raina’s commentary that he did in Bhojpuri. CSK’s bowling consultant Eric Simmons had said that, while the world is concerned about Captain Cool’s knee, he seems to be abstaining from delving much into the setback.

"MS Dhoni was discussing Bhojpuri commentary. He said, 'Bahut hi gajabe commentary kar rahe Bhojpuriya mein (You guys have been doing fantastic commentary in Bhojpuri).' I told him Haryanavi is also nice,” the cricketer-turned-commentator said on JioCinema.

Here's the video Raina's sharing conversation with Dhoni:

Dhoni has been dealing with a long-term knee problem. In the recent match against Mumbai Indians, he was seen with a tight wrap around his left leg, which suggested that the issue was quite serious. After the game, as he was coming down the stairs, Raina was seen helping him, that added to his fans’ concern over social media.

Dhoni is one of the hardest men I've ever come across: Simmons

"Everyone else is more interested in his injuries than he is. He's one of the hardest men I've ever come across. I don't even think we know to what extent he may or may not be in pain. He just carries on and does his thing," Simmons said.

"I'm sure there's some niggle. He just has that ability to ignore what it is and do what needs to be done. We're more concerned about his injuries. When I say we, I mean the public (which) is more concerned about his injuries than he is," he added.
