Tristan Stubbs hammered Wanindu Hasaranga for a massive maximum over the deep midwicket fence during Match 32 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 16. Notably, this was Stubbs' first boundary of his innings.

The delivery was a bit too rushed to be missed out on. The power-packed sweep went miles into the stands. That was also the first of the two maximums Hasaranga was hit during the first innings of the game. DC ended their innings on 188/5. Stubbs ended up unbeaten on 34* (18).

Abishek Porel top-scored with 49 off 37 deliveries. KL Rahul chipped in with 38. It was skipper Axar Patel's 14-ball cameo that resulted in 34 runs being scored, which gave the innings the much-needed impetus during the middle phase. Apart from Stubbs, Ashutosh Sharma was the other batter remaining unbeaten. He scored 15 off 11 deliveries.

As for RR, Jofra Archer ended up with a two-fer. Tushar Deshpande proved to be the most expensive bowler, conceding 38 runs in three overs. Sandeep Sharma's first three overs cost only 14 runs. However, a 19-run fourth over to wrap up the innings spoiled the right-arm medium pacer's figures. The sole over bowled by Riyan Parag went for only six runs.

DC and RR came into the game on the back of losses by 12 runs and nine wickets against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, respectively. The DC have won four out of the five games they've played so far. On the other hand, RR have suffered four losses in their first six games.
