T20 Blast 2022: Where to Watch, Schedule, squads, and all you need to know

The 20th edition of the T20 Blast, English cricket’s premier 20-over tournament is all set to begin on Wednesday, May 25. Depending on their location in England and Wales, 18 first-class counties have been divided into two region groups: North and South.

Every county will compete in 14 group matches, seven at home and as many away games, with the first game scheduled between Kent Spitfires and Somerset CCC, the finalists of the previous edition.

Each group’s top four finishers advance to the quarterfinals. The winners of those quarterfinal matches will go to Finals Day in Edgbaston, where a semi-final and final will be held to determine the champion.

Whichever team finishes first in the group stages determines the quarter-final host. The semi-final and final will take place on July 16 at Edgbaston, making it the earliest final since 2008. Additionally, a reserve day will be in place for each knockout game.

Groups:

North Group- Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, Yorkshire Vikings.

South Group- Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex Sharks.
