Tamim Iqbal invites team Bangladesh for Eid celebration

Veteran Bangladesh opener, Tamim Iqbal, is all set to host the players of the national side on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha. The festival of Eid-al-Adha is the second most auspicious celebration in the Islamic calendar. The Bangladeshi team is currently playing at home against the touring Australian side.

They have been having a purple run at their home soil. They created history when they beat Australia in the first Test of the two-match Test series. The win remarked their first win against Australia in the longest format of the game. Now, the team is aiming a greater glory in the form of a whitewash win in the second Test as well.

The second Test will be played at Chittagong starting on September 4. What this, in essence, means for the players is that they will not get a chance to fly back home to celebrate the occasion of Eid with their family members. The festival of Eid-al-Adha will be celebrated on September 2. Amidst this situation, there is one person in the team who has brought delight to the faces of his teammates.

Tamim Iqbal, who hails from the city of Chittagong, is reportedly planning to host all his teammates on the occasion. As per the reports in bdcrictime.com, Tamim’s uncle Akram Khan revealed that Tamim Iqbal is planning to host his teammates for a grand celebration. Well, it is needless to say that the team would be in celebration mode anyway.

Talking about Tamim’s recent run with the bat, the veteran cricketer has been the most successful batsman for team Bangladesh in the recent past.
