Team India celebrates series win with the fans performing Bhangra

Persistent rain in Sydney on the final day didn’t allow any play and the final Test ended in a tame draw. However, India had done enough to secure their first ever Test series victory by 2-1. The team is a closely knit unit and while they work hard when on the field, they also believe in partying hard after the results go their way. The same kind of attitude was on display as the players were seen performing a unique dance in front of the crowd on Monday.

Virat Kohli, in the post-match presentation, also said that the celebration will continue overnight now and it started in the Stadium itself. After performing a lap of honour for the fans who throughly came out in numbers to support the tourists on this tour, it was time for some Bhangra.

Kohli himself led the way here as he started dancing hilariously along with Bharat Army who relentlessly make their presence felt in the Stadium whenever the Indian team tours.

Hardik and Rahul join in

Virat Kohli started with the famous naagin dance before switching to Bhangra even as KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya joined in and then the rest of the team also tapped their feet. More than anything, with the joy they were dancing showed the amount of hard work the players had put in in order to win the series after coming second in South Africa and England last year.

After the celebrations, Team India will shift their focus to the three-match ODI series which is set to commence on January 12. The likes of Khaleel Ahmed, Kedar Jadhav, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have left for Australia and this series will be crucial keeping the World Cup in mind. Moreover, a series win in the ODIs will also see the Indian team returning with not even a single series defeat down under across formats.
